He saw this trend in fashion was clearly set to stay and also realised the importance of key price points, searching out savings by sourcing fabrics worldwide and passing on the advantages directly to the customer. mail order was introduced in 1983 and was a runaway success story throughout the 1980's and unscathed by the recession.</font></p> <p><font face="Century Schoolbook" color="#800040" size="2">David Shields joined in 1987 sharing responsibility with his fellow Directors for mail order, cloth sourcing and sales. He is now sales director and together with Martin Benton, Finance Director forms the management team of the Company. This management team has now successfully taken the company through a Management Buy-Out and has worked together to create a tightly interwoven and effective work force where each individual is fully aware of the company's mission and philosophy whilst remaining innovative and pro-active.</font></p> <p><font face="Century Schoolbook" color="#800040" size="2">The company has now moved successfully into the Export market and has a tightly knit unit devoted to export.
